How this works
An afternoon of being your family.
A session with us isn’t a lineup in front of a barn door. We plan around what your family actually does — the park you always end up at, pancakes, the walk home. Kids don’t have to behave for it to work; the wiggles and the chaos are usually the best frames of the day.
We show up together, every session — one of us on light, one on your kids. Two parents of three, zero illusions about how afternoons with children go.

How much does a family session cost?
The $300 session fee reserves your date, covers your planning call, the session and your theater reveal — and applies in full toward your artwork; most clients invest $1,500 or more.
Do you do posed portraits or candid photos?
Both, in the same session. We start with a planning call to work out what you actually want: real unposed moments, intentional portraits, or a combination. Most families want both.
What if our kids won’t cooperate?
That’s what the planning call is for. We build trust with your family before we ask anything of them. We don’t need your kids to perform.
What locations around La Crosse do you recommend?
We scout locations for each family rather than reusing one spot. Riverside Park, Hixon Forest, Pettibone Beach, and locations across La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen and La Crescent.
