In short
We are Jeff and Alisha Wiswell, a two-photographer studio in Onalaska, photographing seniors across La Crosse, Holmen, West Salem and Winona. The $300 session fee reserves your date, covers your planning call, the session and your theater reveal — and applies in full toward your artwork; most clients invest $1,500 or more. Most families book 2–3 months ahead.
Why you’re here
You’re here because you want something real.
Not a fence in a field or a downtown shot that looks like everyone else’s. You want to see your son or daughter as they actually are, the confidence they carry when nobody’s watching, big enough to hang. That is exactly who we create portraits for. Not everyone. For you. Everyone is photogenic. Not everyone knows it yet.
Built around them
Their court. Their bookstore. Their practice room.
Build the session around what your son or daughter actually does — a sport, an instrument, a job, a place that is theirs — or around nothing but them. We scout for every session. Nothing gets reused.
We’ll photograph you next to a dumpster. It won’t look like one.
Downtown La Crosse · Riverside Park · Myrick Park · Grandad’s Bluff · Hixon Forest
Who you get
You get both of us.
We show up together, every session: direction, light and posing, both of us locked in on your son or daughter from the first frame to the last. Nothing is handed off.

Who we’re not for
We’re not for everyone.
Here’s the deal. We’re not for:
Photos taken only in a field.
A digital gallery that checks the box and gets lost on a phone.
The mini session. Twenty minutes, one spot, next family.
No fields. No lost galleries. No bullshit.

Four steps, start to wall.
01
The planning call
We call you. Locations, outfits, and where the art will hang — decided together before anyone picks up a camera.
02
The session
We direct, we light, we pose. No clock and nothing to get right on the first try.
03
The theater reveal
Large, in person, together — never a link. The artwork is designed with you in the room.
04
The Artwork Design
In the same room, we design the artwork with you: what hangs where, at what size, and the album that holds the rest. Handcrafted in Europe, in your hands four to six weeks later.
Two paths
01
You book the person with a Facebook page and a camera.
Familiar poses, whatever light the evening gives, a gallery link when it is done. You mean to print them, and they stay on your phone after the first post. Then you walk into a friend’s home, see the album on the table and the wall art above it, and understand what that was worth.
02
Or you book Jeff + Alisha.
We call you, we scout the locations, we run the session, and the artwork is designed with you in the room. Your part is showing up. Your son or daughter walks in, and the picture is already better than they expected.
Ready when you are.
Tell us who they are and what you’re picturing. We answer you personally.

Your questions, answered.
Who will be at the session?−
Both of us, start to finish. We direct, we light, we pose, and nobody is left figuring out what to do next.
What if my son or daughter hates having their picture taken?+
That is what we build the session around: something they already do, so there is more to do than stand still.
Where do you photograph?+
Wherever fits them: downtown La Crosse, Riverside Park and the International Friendship Gardens, Myrick Park, Pearl Street, Grandad’s Bluff, Hixon Forest, a court, a practice room. We are based in Onalaska and travel worldwide.
How do we see the portraits?+
Large, in person, in a theater, together, about two weeks after the session. The artwork is designed in the room with you.
How much do senior pictures cost in La Crosse?+
The $300 session fee reserves your date, covers your planning call, the session and your theater reveal — and applies in full toward your artwork; most clients invest $1,500 or more. If you are not genuinely obsessed with your images, the session fee comes back.
How far ahead should we book senior pictures?+
Most families book 2–3 months ahead. That leaves time for the planning call, an evening that fits everyone and a backup date if rain moves the session.
What should they wear?+
Solid colors and textures photograph better than busy patterns. Clothes that reflect who they are, not what they think they’re supposed to wear, make the strongest portraits. We cover it in detail on the planning call.
How do we choose a senior photographer in La Crosse?+
Ask how they direct the posing, whether they build the light or hope for it, what the plan is before session day, and how you see the portraits afterward. With us, both of us are at every session, we bring our own light, and you see everything large, in person, in our theater.
Senior resources
Read first. Ask us the rest.
Three reads that answer most questions before the planning call.

Senior pictures in La Crosse that look like them.
You already know this is about more than photos.
We help seniors see who they’re becoming — right before the world does.
