International Friendship Gardens

Because of its orientation, the sun sets almost directly in line with the bridge, which makes it one of the best portrait locations in town. A walking path alongside makes it easy to reach.

Pearl Street Area
Aside from the ice cream shop that bears the same name (The Pearl), the best thing about the Pearl Street area is the variety from block to block. From a photographic standpoint, that creates so many different possible portrait looks. It is such a high-yield area that we love shooting here.
Grandad Bluff & Human Powered Trails
The La Crosse Human Powered Trails offer a natural, understated setting that’s perfect for portraits with an authentic, outdoorsy feel. Winding paths, open sky, and layered greenery create clean backdrops that feel relaxed and unforced, making them especially well suited for seniors, families, and anyone who wants their photos to feel connected to the landscape.

Riverside Park and the area around it sit at the center of La Crosse. It’s home to the La Crosse Queen riverboat and the Rotary Lights display. Just off the park are the Riverside International Friendship Gardens, a hidden gem that took us years to discover.
La Crosse Center Parking Ramp
You’d never think about taking photos in a parking ramp, but it can be a great place to make strong images. What we like about this ramp is the backdrop from the roof at golden hour.
La Crosse Local Businesses
We’re lucky to have architecture like this in town, and it creates real opportunities. We’ve photographed at the Charmant Hotel for personal branding photos, and inside Leithold Music for a senior session.
